ASF Group Limited (“ASF”) advises that it received a letter on August 1, 2017 from the Queensland Minister for State Development and Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, under which the Queensland State Government advises that it has resolved to terminate the Gold Coast Integrated Resort Development process.
After winning the Queensland government’s international tender process and over four and a half years of proposals, planning and public consultations, ASF as the preferred proponent since 2014, is extremely disappointed and surprised by the Queensland Government’s sudden decision to terminate the Gold Coast Integrated Resort Development process on the Southern Spit.
Over the coming days ASF will undertake appropriate next steps in seeking a suitable and equitable conclusion to the matter.
